Recently, the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, hosted the pharmaceutical industry's annual event –PHARMADI2025 Vietnam International Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Exhibition.Suzhou Biosynergy Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.with its core products and innovative solutions, made a splash at the exhibition. Leveraging its expertise in biopharmaceuticals and medical consumables, it became a focal point at the show, successfully building a new bridge for Sino-Vietnamese pharmaceutical industry cooperation.
As a core ASEAN pharmaceutical market, Vietnam's medical device localization rate is less than 20%, leading to a pressing demand for imports. This, coupled with the gradual elimination of tariffs on over 90% of pharmaceutical products under the RCEP agreement, presents a broad opportunity for Chinese pharmaceutical companies. At the exhibition, Biosynergy focused on showcasing three product lines: bioactive dressings, precision testing reagents, and traditional Chinese medicine extracts. Their safety and cost-effectiveness attracted significant attention from officials from the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, leading local pharmaceutical companies, and representatives from chain medical institutions. Three cooperation agreements were signed on-site, totaling over 8 million yuan.
"The Chinese and Vietnamese pharmaceutical industries are highly complementary, and Vietnam's demand for high-quality pharmaceutical products aligns perfectly with our technological strengths," said Biosynergy's head of overseas markets. The company's traditional Chinese medicine extracts, which leverage modern biotechnology to optimize traditional formulas, not only meet Vietnamese consumers' preference for natural medicines but also comply with local pharmaceutical compliance standards, resulting in a consistently high number of on-site inquiries. During the exhibition, Biosynergy also signed a joint R&D agreement with a local Vietnamese pharmaceutical company to conduct technical research in the prevention and treatment of tropical diseases, leveraging Vietnam's cost advantages in clinical trials to accelerate product launches.
In recent years, Biosynergy has actively implemented its "going global" strategy, and this exhibition represents a significant step in deepening its presence in the ASEAN market. Leveraging the trade facilitation policies under the RCEP framework, the company has established a distribution network in core markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia. Going forward, the company will explore a localized "API + formulation" production model to further reduce trade costs and improve regional market responsiveness.
This PHARMADI2025 trip not only earned Biosynergy products and technologies international recognition but also demonstrated the core competitiveness of Chinese biopharmaceutical companies.
