On November 16,2015, the FDA approved the Janssen (Janssen) new monoclonal antibody drug Daratumumab, Darzalex, through priority review. Clinical use for recurrent multiple myeloma previously treated with protease inhibitors and immunosuppressive agents. The Chemicalbook bioengineered drug is an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody that targets the transmembrane extracellular enzyme CD38 molecule highly expressed on the surface of multiple myeloma cells and can induce rapid cell death of tumor cells through several mechanisms. Because healthy and all myeloma cells express CD38, adequate assessment of drug toxicity and therapeutic cost performance is required.
